Costco and Electrify America Join Forces to Offer Fast EV Charging in Three States

2 min read

Costco Wholesale Corporation, one of the world’s largest club retailers, has just announced a strategic partnership with Electrify America, a leader in electric vehicle charging infrastructure. This collaboration comes in response to the growing demand for fast and accessible charging solutions for electric vehicle owners.

First, the fast-charging stations will be installed at Costco locations in California, Colorado, and Florida. These will offer charging power up to 350 kW to allow electric vehicles to recharge their batteries in just a few minutes, making long-distance travel much more feasible for users.

The charging stations installed under this agreement will be part of the Electrify America network, which means users can quickly find and access these charging points through the Electrify America app. Besides, the members of Costco will receive preferential rates-a further indication of how the retailer commits to adding value to its customers.

“We are delighted to partner with Electrify America and be able to further a convenient and quick solution to all our customers for EV recharging,” said a Costco representative. “The partnership reflects both entities’ commitment to support the transport economy and provide services catering to changing member needs for environmentally responsible transportation.”

Electrify America operates one of the largest fast-charging networks across the United States and continues to expand its footprint with many top retailers. This agreement with Costco is an important move to increase access to EV charging infrastructure and to achieve the company’s objective of enabling electric mobility for all.

While these charging stations will only be available in just three states for the time being, the network is set to expand to other Costco locations as electric vehicle charging demand continues to grow.
